2008 - The Year of the Black Man - Obama Will Cream McCain!
With the final results of the Democrat primaries completed and the Super Delegates lined up behind Barrack Hussein Obama enough to assure his historic victory over the other contender for making history as the first female (and ex-first lady) to gain the nomination of a major political party, it’s now clear that the battle of the old white RINO and young charismatic liberal socialist African American will result in 2008 being the Year of the Black Man (or African American for those of you who are too PC to say “Black Man”).
It is my strongly held belief as a conservative, pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, pro-family, pro-creationism vs Darwinian Evolution believer that there is no way in God’s green earth that that old white guy, who would make history as the oldest first term President if he proves me wrong, can beat the young, in-experienced, eloquent and charismatic black man named Barrack Obama if his life depended on it, and it may because 72 year olds drop dead everyday of much less rigorous stress than running for President.
The national mood is that the masses are upset and tired and frustrated with the economy, the scandals and the long-drawn war on terrorism. Most Americans care more about the price of a gallon of gas or milk than they do about who is the next President of the United States of America. They vote on headlines and who looks and says the best sounding sound bites on radio and TV. Barrack Obama is the perfect candidate for the superficial thinkers and hurried voters who just tune in about two weeks before the national election to find out who is the “kindest, handsomest or most willing to give me entitlements to get my vote candidate on the TV or radio”. Some go further and read internet blogs to get their spoon fed opinions and reasons to vote for a particular candidate, regardless of what is the real truth about that or any candidate.
My daddy used to attribute this quote to Adlai Ewing Stevenson, Illinois governor (1948-1952), two-time Democratic presidential nominee (1952, 1956), United States who lost twice to Dwight D. Eisenhower (a man whom’s name is born on the USS which I served upon while in the USN): “Never overestimate the intelligence of the American voting public.” Or put another way “The masses are @**#*!” Americans have grown fat, greedy, self-absorbed, material focused and intellectually lazy when it comes to voting…a perfect recipe for Obama and the socialist press and news networks to win in 2008.
What can McCain do to counter all that? Well, he’s got a war record and a beautiful trophy wife…and that’s about it. The press and news networks will cream him for Obama and the old salt will fight like a man for his political life, but at the end of the day too many God-fearing, social conservative, First Amendment supporting, free-speech advocates, who are pro-life even when it comes to the funding of killing embryos for scientific research, Evangelicals and conservative Catholics will not leave the comfort of their home to go against their consciences to vote for the old man who sold us out with McCain-Fiengold, McCain-Liberman, McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Edwards, et. al., McCain is no conservative, no social conservative and certainly only a Republican In Name Only (RINO).
I was barely 18 when I voted for Ronald Reagan, Reagan again; George H.W. Bush twice; Dole once holding my nose; and George W. Bush twice. But John McCain, I don’t have a big enough hand to hold over my nose while voting for that old salt who would sell out his own party and the American people’s rights, to win popularity with the media.
Obama’s base is excited, some a little retarded and most greedy socialists who want their piece of the pork that the Democrats promised them. With one notable exception: the African Americans who do not care about his socialist, anti-baby, pro-Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender agenda will come out with great hope and pride for the first African American who has aspired to become the most powerful man in the world. And, if not for my social and religious convictions, I would not blame them one bit for voting for one of their own. America could withstand eight years of Bill Clinton and we can withstand four of Barrack Obama. Our founding fathers gave us a very resilient Constitutional Republic and we can survive four to eight years of any one leader regardless of his political or social stripes.
What’s McCain got to counter that? He is a war hero. I do respect that. He would probably get us into another war with Iran or China within the first 120 days of office. He wants Ronald Reagan’s mantle so bad he can taste it. “John McCain, the man who defeated communism or jihadists in his presidency.”
Of course along the way, McCain will wreak havoc upon, dismantle and destroy the social conservative and Christian Evangelical and perhaps even the fiscal conservative legs of the Republican Party in his ascendancy and the Democrats will ride to victory with Obama in 2012. He beat Hillary, who else could challenge him for it in 2012?
No, the best thing for American is for Obama to do his four years and for the Republican Party to do some soul searching, self-assesment, determine who we are and what we stand for and then have a come-to-Jesus meeting with those RINOs and moderates who supported McCain (excepting of course the military hawks whom I can respect for supporting a military candidate) and reassert that the Republican Party, the party of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush is the party of God-fearing Conservatives and we are sick and tired of those half-baked moderates who have risen to power because there were too many conservative candidates who divided our votes and left the only moderate with an R next to his name to win most states by a plurality until it was a fate ac comply that he would win against the last conservative man standing, Mike Huckabee…whom I hope is still around to clean up Obama or McCain’s mess in 2012.
About the only reason I could vote for McCain would be to defend America from the Communist and Jihadists threats to our country…but I sure ain’t going out in the rain to connect those lines on the ballot and you will never get me to advise anyone else to do it nor to admit it in public.
