He was the only “Republican” candidate to address the Wake County Libertarian party convention on March 15th, see previous post on this blog, and now he’s Ron Paul lite! Whenever power is generated in a political party and that party can not get official state recognition, as the Libertarian Party in NC has been unable to achieve, then that power has to go somewhere and in this case it has come into our beloved Conservative Republican Party to push their Ron Paul agenda.
We must rally our troops to suport Augustus Cho for Congress in the 4th House District and stop the Pauline zealots from taking over our party with their immoral agenda of NO social legislation, i.e., open laws on drugs, sodomy, prostitution, approval of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender) agenda, racism against Korean born Americans and American birthright citizenship. They also want to cut and run in Iraq and let the Jihadists and Communists take over the civilized world before coming after us at home again.
Libertarians may be right on the economy, but they’re dead wrong on just about everything else. To his credit, “BJ” does support the Human Life Amendment, at least he got that one right, again, just like Ron Paul.

I have a few questions for you.
1) Was the 18th Amendment effective in eliminating, or even reducing, alcohol use from American society? Has the illegality of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, etc. or the tens of $billlion spent on the War on Drugs removed drugs from society or lessened the social externalities of some of the illicit drug trade?
2) If government is so awful at managing the economy (an idea you seem to accept, and I agree with you on it), then why would we expect the government to be effective in managing culture or people’s private, unobservable behaviors and interactions? If you believe, as it appears that you do (and I certainly do), that a free market economy produces the greatest and most equal wealth, then shouldn’t we expect private associations (Businesses, Churches, charity organizations, the family) to do the best job of reducing and treating drug use, encouraging sexual discretion, and promoting strong families? If you do not agree with this proposition, then do you not share the mindset of heathenistic liberals like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that the government has the resources and know how to solve any problem, including problems involving situations that are unobservable?
3) Why is it the right of the government to take someone’s property (which may occur through statutory income taxes, broad-based consumption taxes, property taxes, etc.) to enforce a code of values that they do not accept? Where is the morality in doing that?
4) Does believing that someone has the right to do as they wish with their lives as long as they don’t coerce someone else’s life or liberty necessarily entail that you endorse what they do with their liberty?
5) Michael Scheuer, the former chief of the bin Laden Unit of the CIA (and the guy who warned Clinton repeatedly about the threat of al-Qaeda), has identified interventionist foreign policy in the Middle East post-WWII as the chief motivator of al-Qaeda’s animous toward the United States. Is there some special qualification from your employment background you can cite (i.e., employment as a national security analyst for a defense or intelligence agency or policy institution, high-ranking military officer with policy or strategic focus, etc.) that leads you to believe you know more about al-Qaeda or Middle Eastern politics than Mr. Scheuer and other career inteligence analysts and military officers who have come to conclusions similiar to his?
6) Reverend Mike Huckabee called for the removal of birthright citizenship for children of non-citizen residents during his campaign for the Presidency. Surely, you do not believe that Rev. Huckabee is a racist, do you?
7) Does seeking to amend the Constitution to end a policy that almost no other country in the world has (birthright citizenship for children of non-citizen residents) mean ending all ability for these children or their parents to eventually become American citizens?
I look forward to your responses.

Dear Mr. BJ Lawson,
What a great joy it is to finally hear from you!
Please forgive my slow response to your blog post,I have had some issues with my internet access and my laptop, I’ll spare you the details but suffice to say that the rigors of building a multi-media, radio, TV and internet blog empire (I am hopeful); More’s Law; the second law of Physics, entropy; and the US Postal non-Service conspired (no, not in one room at the same time) to keep me incommunicado, at least as far as my blog and email are concerned for the past two weeks.
Some of us who have been in software and hardware systems for the past decade, did not make a killing in the M&A area, so we still have modest resources with which to overcome such obstacles. But, I’m back online now!
I’ve been somewhat disappointed that you have ignored my on air pleas, both radio and TV, to call in and defend yourself before my viewers and listeners on Time Warner Cable channel 10, RTN-10; and WPJL 1240-AM, Chuck Campbell Show, the New Home of Conservative Talk Radio in the greater Triangle area. I am sure you have the numbers as your supporters have been calling WPJL demanding that I be fired for being a so-called “homophobic bigot” and they’ve also been posting threats right on this blog to sue me for slander and liable.
Strangely enough, my lawyers have not yet informed me of receiving any paperwork, and I did call you on your personal mobile to ask you to consult your attorneys so that the lawsuit and the ensuing publicity for my radio and TV programs, could get started before the fall ratings swing into play! Please don’t throw me into that brier patch!
I am delighted that you have the intestinal fortitude to debate your ideas online, if not on air. BTW, I believe that you still owe me a couple of phone calls too! LOL!
Please refer to the feature post on my blog for detailed answers to your statement of your misguided and misleading campaign policy. Oh, and have a nice day!
